In the Spring 2007 issue of ascent (#33, The World), we featured 
Robert Semeniuk’s photographs of people living with HIV/AIDS in the  Sub-Sahara desert, part of his documentary project “Personalizing the World Health Crisis.” Robert recently returned to Africa to capture images of people with trachoma, the world’s leading cause of preventable blindness. ascent is pleased to showcase these new, unpublished photographs.
